About Me

Hello, my beautiful people of the internet :)

It seems that everytime I go through a panic-filled phase, I end up starting a blog. I started this blog back when I was 18, and as a type this nearing my mid-twenties, I realized that oh baby Vivian, you were just about to embark on this messy, chaotic world we call life.

I graduated in Fall 2019 with a B.F.A in Graphic Design as well as a double-minor in Sociology and French. Before you get too taken aback, I don't know how I managed to get through two minors (I remember almost nothing), and to this day, I'm still recovering from my endless all-nighters from my studio classes. Was the piece of paper worth it? I couldn't tell you, but it was mostly for my parents.

I'm an Asian American first-gen kid. The oldest in my family. The first to graduate from high school and have a college degree. For people who may be reading this that are in the same boat, I see you, I feel you, I am 100% here for you. The pressure is real. You may think that you can't make it in this world, but you can and you will. You've made it this far in life, right?

This blog is called Bittersweet Mainstream because life is filled with highs and lows, and there are all these unspoken constraints on how we should live our life. While we're all trying to find our own path, we all live life a little mainstream.

Hope you enjoy the show x
